The following are 10 facts about the deindustrialization of America that will blow your mind....

Not sure if this is urban legend or not but I read it in a blog somewhere...
The following are 10 facts about the deindustrialization of America that will blow your mind....
#1 The United States has lost approximately 42,400 factories since 2001. About 75 percent of those factories employed over 500 people when they were still in operation.
#2 Dell Inc., one of America's largest manufacturers of computers, has announced plans to dramatically expand its operations in China with an investment of over $100 billion over the next decade.
#3 Dell has announced that it will be closing its last large U.S. manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem , North Carolina in November. Approximately 900 jobs will be lost.
#4 In 2008, 1.2 billion cell phones were sold worldwide. So how many of them were manufactured inside the United States? Zero.
#5 According to a new study conducted by the Economic Policy Institute, if the U.S. trade deficit with China continues to increase at its current rate, the U.S. economy will lose over half a million jobs this year alone.
#6 As of the end of July, the U.S. trade deficit with China had risen 18 percent compared to the same time period a year ago.
#7 The United States has lost a total of about 5.5 million manufacturing jobs since October 2000.
#8 According to Tax Notes, between 1999 and 2008 employment at the foreign affiliates of U.S. parent companies increased an astounding 30 percent to 10.1 million. During that exact same time period, U.S. employment at American multinational corporations declined 8 percent to 21.1 million.
#9 In 1959, manufacturing represented 28 percent of U.S. economic output. In 2008, it represented 11.5 percent.
#10 Ford Motor Company recently announced the closure of a factory that produces the Ford Ranger in St. Paul , Minnesota . Approximately 750 good paying middle class jobs are going to be lost because making Ford Rangers in Minnesota does not fit in with Ford's new "global" manufacturing strategy

I Want To Know

I want to know if it better to wait to win the lotto, wait for inheritance, find a large amount of cash in the street., go to work, invest in the stock market, pray for money, invent the next hula hoop or is it better to find something that is successful that others have done (not everybody) and copy or duplicate the successful people?

I want to know if it is better to wait for your ship to come in or build your ship?

I want to know if more people became rich working  for someone else or working for themselves?

I want to know how many people have great ideas in their head but fail to put them in action because they fear failure?

I want to know if a person who works for thirty years and was laid off,a victim of company downsizing, fired or let go for any other reason, realizes that the job or position they had was never theirs?

I want to know if the people that are investing in 401(k) plans understand if they retire and live another 20 years after they retire will need at least a million dollars saved on their day of retirement?
(The dollar has lost over 97% of its gold value since August 15, 1971, which is about 2.6% per year.)

Reasons Why Network Marketing Is Needed Now

In today’s world there is massive change happening all around us. The changes are happening at a rapid pace. Change is inevitable. The internet, government and the ultra rich are driving the changes. Only people who want to change and embrace change will make it. Change is happening in many forms.
Donald Trump, who was being interviewed by Fox News Greta Van Sustren, said that manufacturing in America is being shipped out of country to China, Mexico and other countries. The American government facilitates this exportation of jobs by giving those businesses tax incentive to leave. This means jobs are lost, communities destroyed, families are pushed into the poor class.
The jobs that are lost to other countries may never come back. When the United States begins manufacturing again or some of the jobs return to the United States, the people that will be employed to perform these jobs will be paid at a much lower wage, keeping them in the poor class. As the American government continues to print dollars inflation will result so the cost of all products and especially raw goods will cost more to purchase. As everyone knows that last thing to inflate in price is wages. Business knows that the best way to control costs is through employee wages. In a manufacturing company the easiest way to control wages is to lay off employees or move to another country to manufacture products. Cheap labor, no employee benefits, lower taxes and incentives from the American government to move your business out of country is business dreams come true.
A major change that has duped American employees has been going on for decades are our retirement plans. Before 1974 employees could count on retirement being paid by the company they worked for. The pension plan was a defined benefit (DB) pension plan. A DB pension plan was a plan that the employee never had to contribute their earnings to. In 1974 (ERISA) Employee Retirement Income Security act was put into law. ERISA took companies off the hook for paying the entire cost of an employee’s retirement and put it on the employee to fund their retirement. The ERISA law changed the pension plans from a DB (defined benefit) to a defined contribution (DC) meaning the employee is now responsible for their retirement and has to apply their earning to their retirement.
The duping of American employees directly enriches the bank accounts of the rich and steals from the employee. The theft of the employee begins with the company bringing in people from a mutual fund company. They will offer many different mutual funds within the mutual fund company. These sales people are taught to tell us to diversify. In effect a mutual fund is diversification. A mutual fund invests in many companies. The salesperson will tell the employees that they should also diversify in different risk classes. The sales person will also tell you that you may move your earnings around to the different mutual funds online within the mutual fund company.

Network Marketing Is A Legitimate Business Model

Network Marketing Is A Legitimate Business Model
Where in the world does any business or anybody have the right to discriminate against the business model of network marketing or network marketers? Many social media and social marketing platforms put many restrictions or will not let network marketers advertise their legitimate businesses. This is denying ordinary people to earn a piece of the financial pie. There is a tremendous focus on people being recruited into network marketing. The line of thought is most will never make money in a network marketing company and yes this is true. Most will fail at network marketing. Many will never make a dime and many will actually lose money. This is where the discrimination by social media and social marketing come from. Is it enough to deny network marketers the ability to advertise on these online platforms?

Yes it is. These are not government owned companies and can make up rules as they please even though and obviously these rules pertaining to network marketers are misguided. Most new prospects will not do anything or very little to make their business work. Why? The first reason I will give you is this, the start up cost is not enough incentive to stay in the network marketing business. Open up just about any business and the business start up cost will be in the thousands. If the initial outlay to start a business is twenty thousand dollars the new business owner has twenty thousand incentives to ensure the business profits. Yet, according to SCORE, half of all new businesses will be out of business in five years.
            Small Business Survival Rates [i]
Small Business Openings & Closings in 2008:
·         There were 627,200 new businesses, 595,600 business closures and 43,546 bankruptcies.
·         Seven out of 10 new employer firms survive at least two years, and about half survive five years.
·         Findings do not differ greatly across industry sectors.
Where do these individuals who start up businesses with these huge investment start up cost obtain their capital? According to 2010 Business Partners.com;
Successful Entrepreneurs Use Combinations Unlike oil and water, debt, equity, self-funding, and external funding do mix well. In fact, it's a entrepreneurial secret. The best managed companies mix their financing sources and choices. Which to use, and when, becomes a matter of individual option, although there are some pretty well established precedents. Founders' personal investments, including both personal assets and family and friends' equity and loans, are usually what finances concept or seed stage companies.[ii]
As stated in the quote, “Founders' personal investments, including both personal assets and family and friends' equity and loans, are usually what finances concept or seed stage companies.”[iii] The new business owner is willing to use his or her house, their family and friends’ assets in order to collateralize start up cost. These business owners have much more to lose than does a new prospect in the network marketing industry. Would it make sense to open advertising to network marketers so the ordinary person may grow their business without the obvious road blocks increasing the network marketer’s chances of success? More importantly, to give the individual a chance to improve their life and financial situation where they would never have a chance to start a traditional business because of start up capitalization?

We Really Need To Put Things Straight

What is multi level marketing? What is network marketing? How does direct sales fit in with these two marketing models? Which one is better to be part of? There is a need to clarify these terms or define them because of the negative connotations that has been given the industry of network marketing. During the mid seventies through the eighties all multi level marketers were met by resistance by their prospects, families, friends, co-workers, and employers. Literally anyone with a pulse had a reason to be on guard when a network marketer approached them.

Let’s start with multi level marketing. Gerald Nehra, a MLMIA Board Member and Direct Selling Specialist Attorney, defines multi level marketing this way, “where certain ranks of distributors buy direct from the company, and re-sell to lower ranks of distributors and to customers.” This form of distribution is not the norm any more. A sponsor or a sponsor further upline used to have an inventory of products they would direct sell to their product only customers with a markup and would re-sell to their distributors with a smaller markup in price so the prospect may earn money on the products they sell. This system required extremely strong willed people to make a profit and build a business from this model of marketing. This system relied heavily on direct sales to product only customers and down line distributors.

Network marketing uses a different tactic to marketing and is truly a network of marketers. Again, Gerald Nehra, a MLMIA Board Member and Direct Selling Specialist Attorney, explains the network marketing distribution model, “The more efficient distribution model is for the company to directly fulfill orders to the end user consumer. This method is now the norm, not the exception. So it may be accurate to say that companies structured that way do not have a multilevel form of distribution. But most of these companies still have a multilevel form of compensation.” Okay, Mr. Nehra gave the how product is distributed in each system. Multi level marketing is through direct sales from upper level distributors to lower level distributors. Network marketers use a more efficient distribution system from supplier to end user.

MLM Distributors

Tonight I was contacted by a Melaleuca Distributor. He used my submission form to try to convert me from the Shaklee supplier to Melaleuca supplier.  I am proud to be a network marketer except when someone decides to sponsor me through my website that I pay for. This person used my money to try to convert me. That is a thief. If he would like to sponsor me,he should use his own money to attract me. Not mine.  That is a slimy tactic!

Now first and foremost, Shaklee explains to everyone it is a network marketing company. On the other hand,Melaleuca calls itself a CDM Consumer Direct Marketing. Both companies are direct sales distribution companies. So why does Melaleuca want to use a different term  to describe their marketing strategy? To me Melaleuca is a wolf in sheep's clothing. But big deal,Multi level marketing, network marketing, direct sales marketing etc. Now Melaleuca is trying to distance itself from the MLM tag with the CDM moniker because Melaleuca decided to fool network marketers into "we have a better system." They direct sell to their customers and if one of them would like to become a distributor they are sponsored by their distributor. That is MLM in a nutshell. Call your distributor a customer or whatever they still direct sell and sponsor.

My question is why change the terms. If you are in direct marketing as a company stand up and say you are. Just as Shaklee does and the owner Roger Barnett does.Direct marketing or network marketing is the future. The internet and network marketing are a couple of brothers that have found each other. Soon everything will be sold on the internet. Why? Because ordinary consumers will make money this way and once MLMs shake their past of being badmouthed because of the difficulty to make money with direct sales. This is happening now. Network marketing is being seen as viable way to earn an income verses being employed by a company that may not last very long or downsized because of technology. Network marketing is using the technology to grow. Network marketing is in front of the bubble and not in back of the bubble like many strip mall stores are.

If you cannot find another stream of income that will support you in case you lose your job, you will be among the poor. Time is now to jump in front of the trend. Network marketing is one of the vehicles to do this. Network marketing maybe the  least expensive way to do start your own business.

If you decide to become a network marketer give the Freedom Project a look. The Freedom Project presents an evaluation process that is friendly, no pressure, you make the decision and that is it. You say no and that is great because maybe this is not for you. On the other hand, The Freedom Project will tell you this is not a get rich overnight business. It will take three to five years to develop an income where you do not have to work. The Freedom Project system is a closed system. The system walks you through the whole process and there is no "ok I am here what do I do next?" Everything is mapped out and you never leave your house to do the business because it is internet based home business.

Hi Everybody,

This weekend my son Gene and I went to the Rich Dad Education Seminar. This particular seminar has to do with Real Estate Investing. It was fun and my son Gene is all fired up. I suspect by the time he comes home tonight from his college classes he will have bought and sold two houses.

You know, that is the idea to get fired up about your future. Gene has called all his friends and told them he is going to be rich and he told his friends that he is going to teach them and help them become rich. He is fired up!

That is what we do. We were fired up about becoming rich and free, when we took the step to join the freedom project. And our friends, and are all of us in the Freedom Project. So do it like my son did. Tell everyone what you want to become. My son wants to become rich. So Peggy Listen I am going to be Rich, filthy rich. My timeline is three to five years where I could absolutely retire from my J.O.B. I will not quit the Freedom Project because I want to be free from corporate America.

As most of you know, Corporate America’s plan is for you to get an academic education, find a job, buy a house, have kids and retire poor. Retire poor because they have your money. I don’t want to retire just to live off my kids. I would rather give them things they want and desire.

There were many lessons to be learned at the seminar which directly correlates with the Freedom Project.

The first day at the seminar had to do with the outline of the program and putting all the participants in the right mind set. One of the things they spoke about is being in business.

I have to tell you folks, what we do is a business! And there are only two outcomes in this business as in any business.  Just two outcomes; Success or Failure.

The good thing is we define our success. Yes We Define our success. If Success is an additional 300 a month to you, that is success. You met your goal. If half a million a year is your definition of success in the Freedom Project and you meet that goal, you are successful. I have not set a date with that goal yet but when I figure it out I will let you know.

I am glad Roger Barnett offers incentives like cars and trips. All that is wonderful. But that is not my definition of success. My initial success is to get a J.O.B. meaning Just Over Broke
Why do I want a job? I just started in this business so I need an income. I also want to tell the company I may work for, in two years or less mind you, I will tell my boss, Good by I won’t be seeing you! I just came in today because I want my paycheck to remind me of how broke I was working for you.

Some of you are new to this. Some have been doing this for a while. I have told everyone I can, that I am in business; my business name is Gene’s Mini Office Outlets.  Have you told almost everyone you know you are in business and your business name? I have.
I think telling everyone that you are in business lets you know that you are serious about this business.  I did not say that it lets everyone know that you are serious about this business. I said that it tells yourself that you are serious. If you are not serious about this business why should your prospects and your sponsored people think that this is a serious business. I spend between six and ten hours a day on my business. If I was working it may be much less but my free time I would work on my business. I have not sponsored anyone yet and all that means is I need to work harder learning what to do. I read, I watch instructional videos, I listen to tapes, I listen to recorded conference calls. I go to conference calls. It is hard for me to do the conference calls at night but soon they will be part of my schedule. I also call Peggy almost daily. As a manager and supervisor I spoke to my bosses everyday giving them reports and going over any new brilliant ideas they came up with. I don’t have much to report to Peggy but she does have a lot working knowledge and great advice to give me. Isn’t it better to receive free knowledge than have to pay for it? I think so. So I call Peggy.

Going to the Rich Dad education did two things. One it open my son’s eyes that he does not want a J.O.B. Gene wants money to work for him instead him working for money. Its called leveraging. Leveraging is where you use someone else’s money or time and effort to make money. In Real Estate you are most likely to use someone else’s money to make money. In network marketing you are leveraging your up line to educate yourself on how to do this business. You then leverage your down line to duplicate the process taught to you and to duplicate your efforts by the effect of multiplication.

The second lesson learned at Rich Dad Education is: applied knowledge is power. As a business person you may come to these conference calls every time. You may read everything the Freedom Project gives you. You may even go to Shaklee University. But until you apply your knowledge and skill sets that are taught to you. Nothing happens. Nothing happens. I learned some things about advertising this week and I applied the knowledge. They gave me a month for free. Their advertising system still will not meet my expectations but they gave me another month of advertising for free. I will take free advertising. I applied my knowledge. Applying what you have learned and applying the skill set you have practiced will make something happen. Not applying your knowledge and skill sets nothing will happen. My prospect, Mike, was the first I did the initial call and Meet and greet by myself. I was confident because I practiced and went on ride alongs with Peggy. I felt I had enough knowledge and enough skill sets to do this one on my own. Peggy felt confident in me too. By applying my knowledge and skill sets I gained experience. So applied knowledge is power. Something happened when I applied my knowledge with Mike. I gained experience.

Side note: Peggy will be helping me with the Classrooms with Mike

One last thing. Priorities. I have a real tough time with my living situation. I live with my ex wife. When we were married it did not work. I can assure you living with her now does not work.

The living situation I am in is not conducive to having a business in the freedom project. I can go live somewhere else but it would be without my kids. I will not have any of that. I did not start having kids at thirty years old to leave them now.  Once I find a job and find my own place. I can assure you they will live with me. They will want to because they know they are my number one priority.

Well, you may ask, where does my business, Gene’s Mini Office Outlets fit on my list of priorities?  My business is number one on the list with my children. Let me tell you why. If I do not follow through with my goals and expectations of myself in my business, I will become a burden, not a father, a burden on my children’s future. I do not want or desire this. I am sure they don’t either. This business is my priority. I would rather be a provider than my children’s burden.

Thank you

Any questions?

What We Have

As much as industrious overachievers hate to admit it, sometimes all you need to get rich is dumb luck -- multiple lotto wins, or finding a buried treasure or valuable comic books. Other shortcuts to wealth come with strings attached: marrying rich, divorce, or lawsuits, for example. Still, the point is that while the average American toils for an average wage of $22.59 per hour, according to July data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are the few who made fortunes without much labor. In other words, for the average wage earner to make a million dollars, he or she would have to work 40 hours a week for approximately 21 years. Doesn't it sound easier to buy a lottery ticket?

Most people dream of hitting the lottery just once, but Las Vegas resident Joan Ginther has been a lot luckier than that. Ginther won the Texas lottery four times over the past 17 years, winning $5.4 million in 1993, $2 million in 2006, and $3 million in 2008. Her biggest score came in 2010: a $50 scratch-off ticket that was worth $10 million (10 Shortcuts to Easy Street, Bloomberg Business Week, Nov. 10, 2010).

Truly, why will most of the people struggle all their lives? Answer: we were taught that way. Our parents, our schools, our government teaches us to be employees. Most employees will never be rich. We are taught to be good employees or good professional servants. The United States, as many other countries did, modeled our education system after the Prussian education model. The Prussian Education System was eight years of mandatory schooling that attempted to fully prepare students for the modern world. This educational system instructed students on basic educational concepts, such as mathematics, writing, and reading. At the same time, it also taught things like obedience, duty to country, and general ethics (How public education cripples our kids, and why By John Taylor Gatto).High schools teach economics but no school teaches financial education. The education needed to become financially independent.

The great H. L. Mencken, who wrote in The American Mercury for April 1924 that the aim of public education is not

“to fill the young of the species with knowledge and awaken their intelligence. ... Nothing could be further from the truth. The aim ... is simply to reduce as many individuals as possible to the same safe level, to breed and train a standardized citizenry, to put down dissent and originality. That is its aim in the United States... and that is its aim everywhere else.”
What Mr. Mencken is articulating is the school system is to develop a citizenry of workers so the rich would always have a supply of workers for their businesses and needs.  The government also looks at the Prussian system as a system to “to breed and train a standardized citizenry, to put down dissent and originality.” American slave owners knew that an educated black population would bring the end to slavery, so they outlawed black slave education. Although education is not outlawed the conspiracy of the rich and powerful is to dumb down the American public. Why do we see people with doctorates going broke in retirement?
No financial education. We let other people, who have no financial education sell us mutual funds within 401(k) plans. Once we give them our money we have no control of investment. These mutual fund companies take their fees and cost before the money is invested because they know the next day the mutual fund may lose a great deal of its original wealth. Ba Da Bing! The rich get richer while the poor get poorer.
This is why The Freedom Project Builders are different. We are taking control of our financial education. First we learn how to build and earn. Then as our income grows we learn to invest. We have mentors all the way to the top and we are lucky we have a man like Roger Barnett that is willing to open a business where we could grow our financial education and wealth as opposed to businesses like banks and insurance companies who pay their employees little and take all the profit. The Freedom Project business is a gift. Open it up and fulfill your dreams!

When I was Young

Actually when I was in my twenties my dad introduced me to A.L.Williams Company. I was twenty three, twenty four. A.L.Williams sold term life insurance and they also sold mutual funds. The big pitch was the customer would buy the less costly term life insurance, dump their whole life insurance and then use the difference to invest in mutual funds. BUUTTTT this was all done as a multi level marketing program. So you, the builder could grow your company and earn incredible wealth. Nothing wrong with any of it except it was a real door to door, one on one sales program. And there I was twenty something, an ex army medic, an office cubicle installer, now an expert in life insurance and investing money. Their money. Yep, Yep, Yep! I was to go into somebody’s house to tell the forty something year old they should listen to my advice. I did not have a single nickel in a bank savings account but I knew how they should invest their money!
I am 51 years old now. Not much smarter but a little more experienced. The older you become the larger your rear view mirror becomes. The rear view mirror is big, not huge, but big enough to see your own life so clearly. There are many, I should have dones and many, I wish I hadn’ts. This is why I am writing this article. I am writing this article to tell the young Freedom Project people they need to really take hold of this business because the Freedom Project is a viable business which works under two great market engines; the internet and network marketing. These two entities will become more prolific as the years forge forward. Everything as it is now will have changed or become extinct because of these two game changers.  I would not doubt the business you grow now in the Freedom Project will not only represent Shaklee but maybe two or more other suppliers in the future. So the time is now to build your business.
I wish the knowledge I have now I had as a young man, the knowledge of network marketing when I was in my twenties. You see, I would have made my money, my kids would have had easier lives and maybe the physical tolls on my body would have never taken place. My business would be wide and deep and instantly ready to take on any opportunities, changes and challenges the future will bring. Instead I am starting now. My advice is to stick with the Freedom Project. Learn what you need to learn, do what you need to do to grow your business and become the shining stars to your children.

It's Time For You to Jump Aboard the MLM Train

Most people do not have to look into a crystal ball to see what their retirement will look like. Problem is most people will not look at their retirement until it is too late. Do you really have a secure financial future? Let me point out some things that are affecting your future retirement. President Nixon took the dollar off of the gold standard in 1971. This meant that the dollar is now backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government meaning you and me through taxes. When President Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard he turned money into an IOU currency.  Let me explain, before 1971 gold was $35.00 an ounce and there was a finite amount of gold that the U.S. had. Our government owed money due to the Viet Nam war so our gold reserves were being depleted. The United States was heading for bankruptcy.  To keep the United States from going bankrupt and keep the gold that the government still had, Nixon turned us into a debtor nation because now the government is able to print money whenever it wants to. Guess what that does to the dollar. The more money the government prints the faster the dollars drops in value and gold increases in value. Gold is selling around a $1,000.00 an ounce now.
Real Estate inflated in price as did everything else since 1971. But the dollar lost value. The reason is because real estate, gold, silver are tangible, something you can see and touch. The dollar, on the other hand, has no value because it can be printed at will by the government. This is why President Bush and President Obama tried to stimulate the economy with an influx of cash. The government can print money.
Okay what does it have to do with me? If you are working you probably belong to a company retirement account, 401(k) and have an IRA. You also have been told to diversify, diversify, diversify and diversify. So you invest into mutual funds and market accounts. Before you receive your paycheck money is deducted and sent to Wall Street where they diversify your money into their pockets first. So the rich get richer. But your accounts follow the stock markets right? Lately what has happen to your retirement accounts? Alright then, what happens if you plan to retire today? The dollar you invested in these mutual funds in 1985 is worth less today. Meaning that you will not be able to buy as much of the things you need in retirement as you would have if you retired in 1985. On top of that you may have lost a substantial amount of your principle investment. Not looking to good.
Well what do we do? You need to arm yourself with a financial education. One good way to do that is network marketing. The people in network marketing teach how to operate a business with a very low start up cost. I am with the Freedom Project. The Freedom Project has the best training program going as their business education program is absolutely free and on going as long as you need it. The reason I recommend network marketing is the money you profit from is always at the day’s market rates. Meaning, that if you sell a bottle of soap today for a dollar and a year from now prices inflate due to the economy and that bottle of soap is two dollars your profit will come from the inflated price. Let’s say your profit margin on all the products sold through your organization is 20 percent on each dollar. You made .20 cents on the soap bottle that sold for a dollar. The next year prices rose making that bottle of soap rise by a dollar, so two dollars. Your profit is .40 cents. Over simplified but true. You are making money instead of losing it in the stock market. With the Freedom Project your business will develop residual income, basically meaning you will have an income whether you are working or not and an income that will out perform the stock market or mutual funds. No Business Training? No Problem! Network Marketing Made Easy!

In 1860 traveling salesmen were known as canvassers, peddlers, hawkers and drummers. Some of these former peddlers created trained sales organizations.  Had it not been for their influence, many of the corporate names we’re all familiar with today might never have been. Names like Heinz, Avon, Fuller Brush, Nutrilite, Shaklee, Stanley Home Products, Mary Kay, Tupperware and Amway. These companies paid commissions to distributors for the products they sold and were given bonuses on sales volume. If the distributor was able to recruit others into direct sales of the company’s products the distributor’s sales volume increased and so did his sales volume bonus.
Direct sales or multi-level marketing required these sales men to go door to door and demonstrate the products. Stanley Home Products sold household cleaners, broom, mops, etc. Stanley Home Products decide to sell to organizations to increase sales. This was the beginning of home presentation parties. New distributors were recruited and had to be taught how to use and demonstrate the products they were selling. Distributors bought their products at discount and sold them to their customers at full price. They also sold their products to new distributors with a smaller mark-up so the new distributor could make money. The regional distributor would also share in the sale volume bonuses with his distributors.
In the 1980’s multi level marketing shifted gears with a business model of I’ll pay for my products for personal use and you buy your products for personal use from the same supplier and this way we can create sales volume and build individual distributorship business. Still direct sales were and still are a major component of any multi-level marketing company. The distributors were still required to hold their own inventory, deliver their products and collect money. In order to grow their company the distributor would have to sponsor new distributors. This was hard because you would start trying to sponsor family and friends and normally be soundly rejected. Except for that one prospect who believed in the product, or system, the distributor would be turned away. It would take some tough people to persevere in the multi-level marketing business. The multi-level marketing system unfairly gained unfortunate notoriety because of people trying to market to family and friends.
Yeah, okay but it is still a pyramid. Yes it is a pyramid, inverted. In any traditional business the business owner, CEO, President is always at the top and everyone below him or her works for him or her. All the employees earn a paycheck. All net profits go to the one on top of the pyramid. This is leveraging. The one at the top leverages your time and effort so they can extract the profits from the company and you take home a defined amount of money for your efforts no matter how loyal and hard you work. There is a 99.999 percent chance you will never become the business owner, CEO, or President of the company or corporation.
In network marketing and I prefer to call it network marketing instead of multi-level marketing because network marketing is a network of like minded individuals who are entrepreneurs that are equals in every way except that some have built stronger businesses than others. Multi-level marketing suggest there are people above you and hold domain over you. This is not true because an individual through their own efforts, desire and talents could earn and produce a sizable business that is greater than their sponsor.
In the picture on the left, the darker shade of the pyramid represent the traditional business model. The employees are on the second level and below. Creating the base are the employees who generally put in the most effort and are paid the least. All employees have almost a 100 percent chance of never making it to the top of the pyramid. The inverted or lighter shade of the pyramid represents network marketing. The sponsor at the bottom of the pyramid networks or sponsors other people to build their own business always teaching, coaching and pushing up their new business owners. By networking the base is on the top as the network of business owners grow. Every new business builder has the choice how large their business will be and that may be larger than their original sponsor.
How has network marketing become easy? Network marketing is not easy it is simple but not easy. In any business endeavor it takes time and energy. It takes short term goals, long term goals and a lot of dreaming. It takes failures and disappointment. It takes reeducating yourself from an employee mentality to a business owner mentality. You can no longer work behind the scenes. This is your movie and you are the star, director and producer. This is your baby and you have to nurture and guide the business to what you want it to be.
Why is the network marketing simple? Well the missing ingredient has finally made it presence known – the internet. The internet is still trying to find itself. The internet is still in its infancy but it has found a good friend and that is network marketing. In the past you would burn up fuel, money and time going to house to far away house as you built your down line. Your appointments would not show up after you drove a hundred miles to show them your business. With the internet you are as close to anyone in the world as soon as you sit down with your computer or laptop. How about that? Top that off with the products that customers and business builders buy are directly shipped to their house and they pay for their products on line under your name.  Now prospects find your advertisement on line, connect with your website, qualify themselves, and submit their information to you asking you to call them! I am in the Freedom Project and this is my business. I don’t have to make speeches in someone’s house, deliver products to them and collect money from them. You cannot find a better business for such a small monetary investment. This is why network marketing particularly the Freedom Project is simple.
Network marketing is not easy. You still have to advertise, you have to wait for business to come to you, you have to learn new internet advertising skills, and you have to change your employee mentality to a business owner mentality. You have to be coachable and you have to want to coach others to be successful. You have to want and desire change to be successful.
As the automobile and airplane was a major change in transportation. The internet is a major change in the way people will shop for goods, work, socialize and educate themselves. The internet and network marketing is the future as business continues to grow on the internet and soon you will see more stores in strip malls closing because they will not be able to compete in the new world of business. So where do you want to be? In the fore front of the new business model or fall behind and compete for the ever increasing low paid service job? Come build a team with me and together we will build a very nice income and lifestyle. http://www.miniofficeoutlets.com/gjr

Economic Change-What are we looking at?

We have seen change come. In our history, just to name a few, we saw the development of the automobile. The horse and buggy mode of transportation is just a romantic ride in a large city now. We had the baby boom generation that has fueled just about everything from the use of the automobile to the laptop computer. We went to the moon and after that developed space stations and shuttles. Our country, with Ray Kroc, established the fast food industry, now McDonalds is all over the world. Just about anything that was imagined was invented. More inventions are on their way to make life more simpler but not easier unless you are willing to change.

What will change is the way you work and live? I predict soon most office jobs will be home based jobs because it will be cheaper to buy a computer than rent a large building. As people become more internet savvy and the use of social sites become more predominate the way you work, get paid, your benefits, your commute, your family, your children and your education will be affected by the internet. Change will happen more rapidly as the government struggles with health care and the cost of running the government. Many doctor appointments will be held over the internet to drive down the cost of health care. Airlines will no longer depend on business flights because the internet can set up a conference with your team around the world on a moments notice. Business will be able to speak to their clients through the computer and not have to fly to see them. Families will not need to fly to visit each other as much because you can see and speak to your children and grand children through the internet. The automobile will have less an impact on society because many people will not have to commute to work. Society will depend more on shopping through the internet than going to the mall. All modes of transportation will suffer as they exist now.

The internet is the engine which will drive economic activity in the future as it is beginning to now. The baby boomer generation is getting older and is retiring at a clip of 7,000 people a day. Most will not have enough money to sustain their retirement as people are living to an older age. Bank saving accounts, company retirement plans,IRAs, life insurance plans will not hold any water as the government continues to devalue the dollar by printing more dollars. A dollar is nothing more than a piece of paper meaning I owe you because our debt is owed to countries around the world. That means a retirement account that is large today will not be enough to live on when you retire. Many retirements where wiped out during this last economic disaster. What are you to do if your retirement account will not be enough to last you 20,30 years into retirement and you then turn toward your children to sustain your living needs?

I have been educating myself as I have seen family and friends suffering in retirement. I have seen many friends lose their jobs as I have. I have not been able to find meaningful employment. Many jobs are doomed to extinction because there will be another seismic change in the economy soon. The amount of cars, airplanes and other modes of transportation will not be produced  because the demand for them will go down. The need to have high rise buildings in the cities will no longer exist because of telecommuting. Employees will be able to live anywhere in the world to do their office job. Meaning that competition will drive down the salary for these telecommuting jobs. The rich will get richer as they are positioning themselves for the future while the number of poor in our society will grow because people will not let go of long held beliefs about going to school. get a good job and save your money for retirement. Financial education is what is needed along with an open mind to change your circumstance. I have opened my online business and my son and I will be opening a new venture in November/December.

If any of this concerns you, email me at ad909394johnson@yahoo.com or leave me note on Facebook. Read my blogs at www.genedjohnsonjr.blogspot.com. I am also posting on ezines. If you want to look at my online business go to www.miniofficeoutlets.com/gjr.

What Is My Business?

What is my business? If you cannot answer this question you do not have a business.  You don’t have a commitment. You don’t have a vision. You don’t have a plan. You don’t feel a responsibility or have a belief in yourself to endeavor and you don’t have a dream. Even though this business is a relatively new business model, it is a business. This business, network marketing, has many of the hall marks of any traditional business. Failure rates are about the same for any new business. You have to invest money, time, sweat, worry, self education, mistakes and undeniable feelings of doubt. You know people that just don’t believe that this business will ever go anywhere or make enough money to have you quit work and fire your boss. Most of them will be family and friends who will doubt your abilities to cope, to become someone different, someone stronger and confident, someone richer in life and wealth.
Why is the network marketing business more difficult than traditional business to become successful? Answer: It isn’t. Not by a long shot. Network marketing is all about you and your commitment to yourself, your family and your dream. As long as you find the right supplier, an ethical company whose goods are desirable and consumable for repeat business and an ethical network marketing company that the business plan is focused on the training and success of every new prospect with front end earnings and back end earnings (residual). The huge difference between opening a business like an auto repair shop and a network business is in a repair shop there are no coaches, no training, and no one concerned if you fail or not. In network marketing there is ton of training, great coaches and many people concerned with your success.
In The Freedom Project, I should say, especially in the Freedom Project you are afforded free training and lifetime free training! Where could you possibly receive free training, coaching, advice or mentoring for the lifetime of your traditional business? No where! You would have to pay for all of your advice and who might you be asking for this advice? Are they in the same business as you with the same commitment to the same business as you? Not likely because those are your competitors. Or are they in business with a commitment to make money from you and not with you?
In baseball, hitting is always the same. Your initial batting stance maybe be different than others (I will call it their personality) but when the pitchers start their motion to throw, the batters hands come down to the proper hitting position and all the mechanics to hit a baseball is the same in all batters. The only difference in the batters is their talent. From the time a professional baseball player starts playing Little League baseball and all the way through to his professional career he is taught to duplicate the mechanics of hitting. The Freedom Project teaches duplication. From the family who is making half a million dollars a year to the brand new prospect. Each person is taught to duplicate the business. You are taught to duplicate a winning process.
Okay Gene, if it is so easy, why isn’t everyone doing it? Well there are a lot of answers to that question. First is all of us were raised and taught to be employees. Get a good education, get a good job, work hard, save money and retire with your savings. Well that model has Phds’ going broke as they try to live on savings lost by the economy and social security. But for us rookies in the Freedom Project my thoughts are you do not believe the Freedom Project with our supplier is a true business. You feel safer with a job and benefits. I felt safe for twenty five years with a job and benefits. I still have nothing, I lost my job ( it wasn’t really mine because I could not take it with me or sell it), I lost my benefits and anything I have saved in the company retirement plans are gone. We rookies and others that have struggled for a while have to look in the mirror and tell the truth to ourselves. Do we treat this network marketing Freedom Project as our own business? If you do you would have a commitment, a vision, a plan, belief in yourself to endeavor and you would have a dream.
What is my business? This is my business to coach and teach the Freedom Project duplication process. I am in it for the long run. I am a Freedom Project builder.

A Valuable Phone Call

Yesterday, I was speaking to Peggy Allen on the phone. Just a casual conversation. The note worthy thing about this conversation is how much you learn listening. There is a few subjects I want to write about but the first one is the most important. I caught myself several times speaking over Peggy’s conversation. What did I have to say that was so very important that I could miss what this woman of twenty eight years in Shaklee and a professional teacher in the personal improvement was saying? Nothing, of course, absolutely nothing. My goal now is to listen with intention to understand, and to ask more questions. Obviously I cannot learn when I am speaking but I will learn if I listen with intention to understand what is being said and to ask questions to clarify what is being said. I have so many resources in The Freedom Project, that are so valuable, that it is time to take my arrogance out of the equation to learn from people like Peggy, Carol, Glenna, the Freedom Mama and Papa.

The second subject I learned in the conversation with Peggy was how she was able through experience, knowledge and enthusiasm was to clarify and fine tune  my dreams. She is guiding me through dreaming of the life I want. Maybe as child it was very simple to dream and wonder, but as an adult it is a difficult task to dream and wonder. Peggy let me tell her about my dreams. She did not laugh at me but laughed with me as she helped me tighten my dream. My vague dream is to speak in front of a large audience with conviction, confidence and having fun with the audience while having fun myself. Peggy said I will do that and dreamed with me. Now my dream has Peggy introducing me in Anaheim at one the Shaklee’s conventions. But she helped me more by giving me more freedom to dream. Now I am speaking to my downline in conventions around the world. So here it is, Peggy has given me a right to dream, a right I always had but through the complications of life and the negativity of others, dreaming and wondering went into hibernation. How exciting is it to dream things that where in my mind impossible? Dreaming was shackled in a dark dungeon in my brain. Peggy and The Freedom Project gave my dreams a little light and a hacksaw to break free. Dreaming is now part of my personality.

Peggy during the conversation was teaching me, solid," how to things." She was telling me how Shaklee set up this wonderful compensation plan. Peggy has a definite plan to help me through my personal problems but she has her own personal problems and one is with her eyes. But what I did not hear from Peggy was more important. Very important. Her enthusiasm and can do attitude never wavered. Peggy is a powerful life force with enough enthusiasm and can do spirit to power a thousand rocket ships through the universe and she was giving all of that to me during this phone call. It is a if God tapped me on the shoulder and told this angel to help me. Alright, so I will listen with intention to learn and understand, ask questions to clarify and remember to listen to what is not being said verbally. This will make me a stronger, more confident person as I move through the Freedom Project.

You Are A Loser!

In The Freedom Project, almost all new people will immediately find that the people around them (i.e. family and friends) will not be as enthusiastic as you are when you decide to embark on a new endeavor, especially in network marketing. Some of the people that are in your life may even hope that you fail. That is OKAY! You must remind yourself that you are changing the way you think, the way you act, the way you look at life, the way you feel about yourself and the way you see everything in your world. Feelings of anxiousness, insecurity, fear, and doubt will be with you because you are doing something against what you have been taught is normal. You are going against the grain.
In my life I have someone that not only would like me to fail but labeled me a loser for trying something different. “It is a scam!” she shouts with wild abandon. “Give me the money you will lose on the scam, you loser!” she exhorts. She continues to explode with many other well worn expletives and rants about all her exhausting research she has done through the years on network marketing. So I think she must be wrong! She convinces me with all her knowledge about network marketing that I am right to continue to do this business. She is so persuasive. I am glad she is in my life otherwise I might not have continued on with network marketing.
What did you see in the program that gave you thought that Freedom Project might work? Did you think that this is something you could do? The program the builder presented you, the premise seemed simple and easy to understand. The numbers looked extremely possible. What was it that made you think and feel that this business was for you? Maybe you did some homework on it and found some very influential people in the business like Warren Buffet and Donald Trump. Or people like President Bill Clinton and Robert Kiyosaki of Rich Dad, Poor Dad fame promoting network marketing as the best educational tool and business the average person should consider buying into. Let’s look at some of the things we are taught by our parents, schools, friends, family, and people we work for:
1) Go to school and get a good education and then go get a good job.
I would never say not to go to school and receive a good education. You should. But what is your education teaching you? It is teaching you to get a job. A job in which you will never build equity so you can sell your job in case you decide to quit, retire or you get laid off or fired. Our educational system does not teach people about how to acquire money and invest it or better yet, teach you make a residual income for you (financial education).
2) When you have a job you are able to invest into the company’s 401(K) plans and you can start an IRA account so you will have enough money to retire on.
I should give you research on this matter but let us just kick it. Unless you have been hiding under a rock the last few years, you know many people who lost their jobs. So they stop making monthly contributions into the 401(k) plans and IRA accounts. If you were one of the fortunate ones to keep your job, your retirement accounts just don’t look so hot with the financial markets failing. On top of all that great news, social security will effectively make you poor if you decide to retire and live entirely on those benefits.
3) Your parents and teachers said become a professional like a doctor, lawyer, CPA, etc.
These people make lots of money, yes they do. Some even become fabulously rich. But most don’t. They may open their own offices, pay employees, pay insurance, and everything else they need for their professional practice. But when they retire there goes their income, they will have to rely entirely on their investments. Some retired professionals will do well in retirement, many will not. They will either keep working or live in a standard of living that is less than what they are accustom to.
Okay, how will I change from the old ways, get a good education and then get a good job and then invest in the company’s retirement plans or become a professional and make lots of money. Simple but not easy - start a business. Start a business that you could develop a good income but more importantly a residual income. A residual income that continues paying you whether you work or not and will always keep up with inflation. How does residual income keep up with inflation as opposed to investing in the market? In the stock market your investments may out perform the inflation rate but because the market is cyclical in nature, the market will suffer a let down and you could lose so much of what you have earned through mutual funds, stocks, etc. Residual income, which is the services or goods that are produced by your supplier, is sold at current market rates. This is where you derive your residual income.
The question remains, am I a loser? I could be a loser even with the Freedom Project. To win at anything you need to put your armor on. You need to strengthen your defenses and you do this by learning everything you can about what you want to be. Then when someone calls you a loser you will look at them and see that they are the ones that are losing. You’re winning because you educated yourself to what the answers are. Your education supports your beliefs, desires and wants. Your education gives you answers that are stuck in your head and heart and gives you confidence to know the blowhard is wrong.

A Beautiful Person with a Beautiful Heart

There are many things that excite a prospect when they decide to become their own boss in the Freedom Project, from the ability to making an income, not punching a clock, to making new friends and a more positive lifestyle. I am sure that God noticed I needed someone special to teach me to duplicate in the Freedom Project. God knew I needed somebody that would have enough empathy, knowledge and talent to let me come in to the business in a slow positive way in order to change my life. Another builder may have thought I don’t have enough time to mess around with a person that is not financially ready to go right now. Not Peggy. She has shown me the same enthusiasm she would if she brought in a Super Gold builder.

Now, I feel not only my own pressures to become the person I want to become through the Freedom Project. Although Peggy is not pressuring me in anyway, I feel it is necessary to do very well in The Freedom Project because I know Peggy Allen has high hopes for me. I pledge now to impress Peggy Allen. She is a beautiful person with a beautiful heart. Peggy Allen and Rose Kleinsasser are my angels.

Here is Peggy Allen’s autobiography;

Peggy Allen is the kind of woman people remember, not for the things she says, but for the way she makes them feel!

She has spent her life following a path that leads her to helping people in so many ways: physically, emotionally and personally.  She has made her mark on almost everyone that has known her.  Peggy has been a true supporter of this community she loves.
Peggy is very successful at building relationships and guiding people to create freedom, and, making a living while making a difference.  Her coaching skills, people skills, business knowledge and professionalism are at par with the leaders in this field.  She has taught many motivational leadership courses, worked closely with many trainers in the field of professional development, and now brings her skills into the home business field.

This year, 2008, she celebrates 25 years of running her own successful home business - now online!

Creating an income while making a difference in people’s lives, and the planet, are the growing trends in today’s quickly expanding business market.  We are all looking for ways to give back and “pay it forward”, while making a difference by reducing our carbon footprint, and creating better health for ourselves and loved ones.

Peggy Allen is one you can trust to coach you, and help you learn to create a legacy for your family’s future, and something to be proud of.

“I believe in giving back, and sharing knowledge that can bring about positive change in peoples’ lives.  It is my passion.”
Peggy Allen

Shaklee Terraces

Here is a tidbit:

Shaklee Terraces also known as One Front Street is an office skyscraper in the Financial District of San Francisco, California. The 164 m (538 ft) 38 floor, tower was completed in 1979. The composition of the façade closely resembles that of the Shell Building by Emil Fahrenkamp, which was built in Berlin in 1931. The Shaklee Corporation was once headquartered in the tower until the company moved to Pleasanton, California in 2000.

What makes a great upline leader?

What makes a great upline? In the Freedom Project my upline coach is highly motivated, highly experienced, highly knowledgeable, highly trained and caring. She is so willing to work and do everything in her power to make a good builder successful. She creates a team atmosphere with telephone conferences. She teaches and trains from outside sources, she uses other team members to describe and teach their experiences about what works or doesn't. If your open she will give you the opportunity to be successful. I think she is a great upline leader.

Since I am new to the Freedom Project I don't have enough experience to tell anyone what makes a good upline leader. So here is the question; in your opinion what makes a great upline leader as opposed to just a good upline leader? Please leave your comments. Thank you!
