Not sure if this is urban legend or not but I read it in a blog somewhere...
The following are 10 facts about the deindustrialization of America that will blow your mind....
#1 The United States has lost approximately 42,400 factories since 2001. About 75 percent of those factories employed over 500 people when they were still in operation.
#2 Dell Inc., one of America's largest manufacturers of computers, has announced plans to dramatically expand its operations in China with an investment of over $100 billion over the next decade.
#3 Dell has announced that it will be closing its last large U.S. manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem , North Carolina in November. Approximately 900 jobs will be lost.
#4 In 2008, 1.2 billion cell phones were sold worldwide. So how many of them were manufactured inside the United States? Zero.
#5 According to a new study conducted by the Economic Policy Institute, if the U.S. trade deficit with China continues to increase at its current rate, the U.S. economy will lose over half a million jobs this year alone.
#6 As of the end of July, the U.S. trade deficit with China had risen 18 percent compared to the same time period a year ago.
#7 The United States has lost a total of about 5.5 million manufacturing jobs since October 2000.
#8 According to Tax Notes, between 1999 and 2008 employment at the foreign affiliates of U.S. parent companies increased an astounding 30 percent to 10.1 million. During that exact same time period, U.S. employment at American multinational corporations declined 8 percent to 21.1 million.
#9 In 1959, manufacturing represented 28 percent of U.S. economic output. In 2008, it represented 11.5 percent.
#10 Ford Motor Company recently announced the closure of a factory that produces the Ford Ranger in St. Paul , Minnesota . Approximately 750 good paying middle class jobs are going to be lost because making Ford Rangers in Minnesota does not fit in with Ford's new "global" manufacturing strategy

I Want To Know

I want to know if it better to wait to win the lotto, wait for inheritance, find a large amount of cash in the street., go to work, invest in the stock market, pray for money, invent the next hula hoop or is it better to find something that is successful that others have done (not everybody) and copy or duplicate the successful people?

I want to know if it is better to wait for your ship to come in or build your ship?

I want to know if more people became rich working  for someone else or working for themselves?

I want to know how many people have great ideas in their head but fail to put them in action because they fear failure?

I want to know if a person who works for thirty years and was laid off,a victim of company downsizing, fired or let go for any other reason, realizes that the job or position they had was never theirs?

I want to know if the people that are investing in 401(k) plans understand if they retire and live another 20 years after they retire will need at least a million dollars saved on their day of retirement?
(The dollar has lost over 97% of its gold value since August 15, 1971, which is about 2.6% per year.)

Reasons Why Network Marketing Is Needed Now

In today’s world there is massive change happening all around us. The changes are happening at a rapid pace. Change is inevitable. The internet, government and the ultra rich are driving the changes. Only people who want to change and embrace change will make it. Change is happening in many forms.
Donald Trump, who was being interviewed by Fox News Greta Van Sustren, said that manufacturing in America is being shipped out of country to China, Mexico and other countries. The American government facilitates this exportation of jobs by giving those businesses tax incentive to leave. This means jobs are lost, communities destroyed, families are pushed into the poor class.
The jobs that are lost to other countries may never come back. When the United States begins manufacturing again or some of the jobs return to the United States, the people that will be employed to perform these jobs will be paid at a much lower wage, keeping them in the poor class. As the American government continues to print dollars inflation will result so the cost of all products and especially raw goods will cost more to purchase. As everyone knows that last thing to inflate in price is wages. Business knows that the best way to control costs is through employee wages. In a manufacturing company the easiest way to control wages is to lay off employees or move to another country to manufacture products. Cheap labor, no employee benefits, lower taxes and incentives from the American government to move your business out of country is business dreams come true.
A major change that has duped American employees has been going on for decades are our retirement plans. Before 1974 employees could count on retirement being paid by the company they worked for. The pension plan was a defined benefit (DB) pension plan. A DB pension plan was a plan that the employee never had to contribute their earnings to. In 1974 (ERISA) Employee Retirement Income Security act was put into law. ERISA took companies off the hook for paying the entire cost of an employee’s retirement and put it on the employee to fund their retirement. The ERISA law changed the pension plans from a DB (defined benefit) to a defined contribution (DC) meaning the employee is now responsible for their retirement and has to apply their earning to their retirement.
The duping of American employees directly enriches the bank accounts of the rich and steals from the employee. The theft of the employee begins with the company bringing in people from a mutual fund company. They will offer many different mutual funds within the mutual fund company. These sales people are taught to tell us to diversify. In effect a mutual fund is diversification. A mutual fund invests in many companies. The salesperson will tell the employees that they should also diversify in different risk classes. The sales person will also tell you that you may move your earnings around to the different mutual funds online within the mutual fund company.

Network Marketing Is A Legitimate Business Model

Network Marketing Is A Legitimate Business Model
Where in the world does any business or anybody have the right to discriminate against the business model of network marketing or network marketers? Many social media and social marketing platforms put many restrictions or will not let network marketers advertise their legitimate businesses. This is denying ordinary people to earn a piece of the financial pie. There is a tremendous focus on people being recruited into network marketing. The line of thought is most will never make money in a network marketing company and yes this is true. Most will fail at network marketing. Many will never make a dime and many will actually lose money. This is where the discrimination by social media and social marketing come from. Is it enough to deny network marketers the ability to advertise on these online platforms?

Yes it is. These are not government owned companies and can make up rules as they please even though and obviously these rules pertaining to network marketers are misguided. Most new prospects will not do anything or very little to make their business work. Why? The first reason I will give you is this, the start up cost is not enough incentive to stay in the network marketing business. Open up just about any business and the business start up cost will be in the thousands. If the initial outlay to start a business is twenty thousand dollars the new business owner has twenty thousand incentives to ensure the business profits. Yet, according to SCORE, half of all new businesses will be out of business in five years.
            Small Business Survival Rates [i]
Small Business Openings & Closings in 2008:
·         There were 627,200 new businesses, 595,600 business closures and 43,546 bankruptcies.
·         Seven out of 10 new employer firms survive at least two years, and about half survive five years.
·         Findings do not differ greatly across industry sectors.
Where do these individuals who start up businesses with these huge investment start up cost obtain their capital? According to 2010 Business Partners.com;
Successful Entrepreneurs Use Combinations Unlike oil and water, debt, equity, self-funding, and external funding do mix well. In fact, it's a entrepreneurial secret. The best managed companies mix their financing sources and choices. Which to use, and when, becomes a matter of individual option, although there are some pretty well established precedents. Founders' personal investments, including both personal assets and family and friends' equity and loans, are usually what finances concept or seed stage companies.[ii]
As stated in the quote, “Founders' personal investments, including both personal assets and family and friends' equity and loans, are usually what finances concept or seed stage companies.”[iii] The new business owner is willing to use his or her house, their family and friends’ assets in order to collateralize start up cost. These business owners have much more to lose than does a new prospect in the network marketing industry. Would it make sense to open advertising to network marketers so the ordinary person may grow their business without the obvious road blocks increasing the network marketer’s chances of success? More importantly, to give the individual a chance to improve their life and financial situation where they would never have a chance to start a traditional business because of start up capitalization?

We Really Need To Put Things Straight

What is multi level marketing? What is network marketing? How does direct sales fit in with these two marketing models? Which one is better to be part of? There is a need to clarify these terms or define them because of the negative connotations that has been given the industry of network marketing. During the mid seventies through the eighties all multi level marketers were met by resistance by their prospects, families, friends, co-workers, and employers. Literally anyone with a pulse had a reason to be on guard when a network marketer approached them.

Let’s start with multi level marketing. Gerald Nehra, a MLMIA Board Member and Direct Selling Specialist Attorney, defines multi level marketing this way, “where certain ranks of distributors buy direct from the company, and re-sell to lower ranks of distributors and to customers.” This form of distribution is not the norm any more. A sponsor or a sponsor further upline used to have an inventory of products they would direct sell to their product only customers with a markup and would re-sell to their distributors with a smaller markup in price so the prospect may earn money on the products they sell. This system required extremely strong willed people to make a profit and build a business from this model of marketing. This system relied heavily on direct sales to product only customers and down line distributors.

Network marketing uses a different tactic to marketing and is truly a network of marketers. Again, Gerald Nehra, a MLMIA Board Member and Direct Selling Specialist Attorney, explains the network marketing distribution model, “The more efficient distribution model is for the company to directly fulfill orders to the end user consumer. This method is now the norm, not the exception. So it may be accurate to say that companies structured that way do not have a multilevel form of distribution. But most of these companies still have a multilevel form of compensation.” Okay, Mr. Nehra gave the how product is distributed in each system. Multi level marketing is through direct sales from upper level distributors to lower level distributors. Network marketers use a more efficient distribution system from supplier to end user.

MLM Distributors

Tonight I was contacted by a Melaleuca Distributor. He used my submission form to try to convert me from the Shaklee supplier to Melaleuca supplier.  I am proud to be a network marketer except when someone decides to sponsor me through my website that I pay for. This person used my money to try to convert me. That is a thief. If he would like to sponsor me,he should use his own money to attract me. Not mine.  That is a slimy tactic!

Now first and foremost, Shaklee explains to everyone it is a network marketing company. On the other hand,Melaleuca calls itself a CDM Consumer Direct Marketing. Both companies are direct sales distribution companies. So why does Melaleuca want to use a different term  to describe their marketing strategy? To me Melaleuca is a wolf in sheep's clothing. But big deal,Multi level marketing, network marketing, direct sales marketing etc. Now Melaleuca is trying to distance itself from the MLM tag with the CDM moniker because Melaleuca decided to fool network marketers into "we have a better system." They direct sell to their customers and if one of them would like to become a distributor they are sponsored by their distributor. That is MLM in a nutshell. Call your distributor a customer or whatever they still direct sell and sponsor.

My question is why change the terms. If you are in direct marketing as a company stand up and say you are. Just as Shaklee does and the owner Roger Barnett does.Direct marketing or network marketing is the future. The internet and network marketing are a couple of brothers that have found each other. Soon everything will be sold on the internet. Why? Because ordinary consumers will make money this way and once MLMs shake their past of being badmouthed because of the difficulty to make money with direct sales. This is happening now. Network marketing is being seen as viable way to earn an income verses being employed by a company that may not last very long or downsized because of technology. Network marketing is using the technology to grow. Network marketing is in front of the bubble and not in back of the bubble like many strip mall stores are.

If you cannot find another stream of income that will support you in case you lose your job, you will be among the poor. Time is now to jump in front of the trend. Network marketing is one of the vehicles to do this. Network marketing maybe the  least expensive way to do start your own business.

If you decide to become a network marketer give the Freedom Project a look. The Freedom Project presents an evaluation process that is friendly, no pressure, you make the decision and that is it. You say no and that is great because maybe this is not for you. On the other hand, The Freedom Project will tell you this is not a get rich overnight business. It will take three to five years to develop an income where you do not have to work. The Freedom Project system is a closed system. The system walks you through the whole process and there is no "ok I am here what do I do next?" Everything is mapped out and you never leave your house to do the business because it is internet based home business.
